Make A Wish Night this Saturday May 31st
Drivers from four divisions at the Bakersfield Speedway will be joining forces to help make wishes come true for sick kids in Kern County. The track will be host to the fourth annual “Make-A-Wish” night on Saturday, May 31, 2014. The evening will feature a 40 lap IMCA Main Event with a $1,000 purse sponsored by “Go Live Stream TV LLC.
The drivers have spent the past few months collecting donations to be used in a large opportunity drawing at the event. The remaining funds will be raised when some local Make-A-Wish kids accompany the mini-dwarf drivers into the stands as they personally pass the helmet to collect donations from race fans. Every dollar raised in from the event will go towards granting a wish to a Kern County child.
General admission is $12, kids 6-12 are $5 and kids 5 and under are free. Gates open at 4:00pm, hot laps at 5:00pm and racing begins at 6:00pm.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central California grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy.
