‘Mr. Excitement’ wins Late Model main event at Bakersfield Speedway

Jensen stays dominant with Street Stock win

  BY MIKE GRIFFITH Californian staff writer mgriffith@bakersfield.com   Lee Jensen continued his impressive run in Street Stock action at Bakersfield Speedway on Saturday night as he raced to his third straight victory.   Jensen came form the ninth starting position, powering into the lead with eight laps remaining in the 25-lap feature.   The victory was worth $1,000 ($500 more than usual), thanks to Jerry Pedro adding $1,000 to the overall purse. Early Start Time For Mini Dwarfs This Weekend

Saturday night July 14th, the mini dwarf heat race starting times have been moved forward to help create more race time to complete the scheduled events. Heat races for mini dwarfs will start at 4:30pm sharp. With the enlarged car count planned for Saturday, this adjustment will help prevent the need to shorten any races.
