West Coast Late Model Shootout Prepares for Return to Bakersfield Speedway

SANTA MARIA, Cali. – For the first time since October of 2011 the West Coast Late Model Shootout will compete at Bakersfield Speedway on August 10th. The series was scheduled to make an appearance in March however Mother Nature won the battle. They will also return to the third of a mile clay oval on August 31st. Pounds wins 6th feature at Bakersfield Speedway

Pounds once again lived up to his lofty nickname Saturday night at Bakersfield Speedway, dominating the 25-lap IMCA Modified feature. Modifieds return Saturday July 27th

The tight IMCA Modified points race continues this Saturday night July 27th. Larry Hood brings his 3 point lead over Brad Pounds back to the 1/3 mile high banked clay oval. Hobby stocks, American stocks and the Ignite midgets will also join in on the racing action Saturday night. General admission is $10.00   kids 6-12 $5.00   5 and under are FREE. Gates open at 4:00pm with racing starting at 6:00pm.

Another big night for Pounds at Speedway
