There are no words to express how deeply saddened we are with the loss of one of our own. SANTA MARIA, Cali. – For the first time since October of 2011 the West Coast Late Model Shootout will compete at Bakersfield Speedway on August 10th. Pounds once again lived up to his lofty nickname Saturday night at Bakersfield Speedway, dominating the 25-lap IMCA Modified feature. The tight IMCA Modified points race continues this Saturday night July 27th. Larry Hood brings his 3 point lead over Brad Pounds back to the 1/3 mile high banked clay oval. Hobby stocks, American stocks and the Ignite midgets will also join in on the racing action Saturday night. General admission is $10.00 kids 6-12 $5.00 5 and under are FREE. Gates open at 4:00pm with racing starting at 6:00pm.
