Decker tops Hogge to win Shootout

Jeff Decker and Bobby Hogge staged a dramatic side-by-side battle for the win over the final 10 laps with Decker, who led all but one lap, beating Hogge by a half car in the 30-lap race. Late Models return this Saturday

KUZZ FM107.9 night at the races is this Saturday night August 31st. The return of the West Coast Late Model Series headlines the night of racing at the annual Labor Day racing event. Gates open at 4:00pm  with racing getting underway at 6:00pm. Also on tap this Saturday is the Motor City GMC SportMods, Melo’s Gas & Gear American Stocks and the GoLiveStream Mini Dwarfs. General admission is $15.00  Kids 6-12 $5.00  5 and under are FREE.

Pounds wins on somber night

O’Neil was killed in a accident at the track two weeks ago and the Speedway canceled races last week as racers and friends met up at a local restaurant to celebrate O’Neil’s life. Saturday August 24th

Racing returns this Saturday night August 24th as six divisions hit the 1/3 mile high banked clay oval. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA SportMods, Hobby Stocks, American Stocks, Mini Stocks and NMRA ¾ Midgets are all set to battle as the Budweiser racing series continues. Gates open at 4:00pm  Racing starts at 6:00pm. General admission $10.00   Kids 6-12 $5.00   5 and under FREE.  

Steve O Neil

There will be a social at Steve’s favorite spot, RJ’s Bar & Grill, Saturday August 17th 12 noon to celebrate the life of Steve ONeil. There will not be a funeral as this is the way Steve wanted it. Please stop by, share your favorite Steve moment, and tip a glass with us as we honor our dear friend, son, father, and husband. We hope to see you all there. Thoughts and Prayers

There are no words to express how deeply saddened we are with the loss of one of our own. On behalf of the Schweitzer family we send our prayers and heartfelt condolences out to Pam, James and the entire O’Neil family in this time of sorrow.  Steve’s presence each and every Saturday night brought joy to the entire Speedway team.  He will be greatly missed.
