Sanders tops IMCA Modified field

  The popular IMCA Modifieds headlined the five division night with 17 cars checked in. Running the final feature e of the night provided plenty of side by side racing on the 1/3 mile high banked clay oval. Robert Sanders of Bakersfield took the impression win over Danny Lauer, Ethan Dotson, John Piker and Brad Pounds. KERN Radio Night at the races this Saturday night March 28th. IMCA sanctioned Modifieds and SportMods headline the 5 division night. GARDNER STILL #1 AFTER STOP IN BAKERSFIELD

Defending Honda USAC Western Midget Champion Ronnie Gardner of Norco, Calif. picked up right where he left off in 2014 by winning the 2015 series opener Saturday night at Bakersfield Speedway. Open wheel super show set for this Saturday March 21st

This Saturday, March 21st, the Honda USAC Western Midgets will open their 33rd season at Bakersfield Speedway in Bakersfield, California. Promoted by Scott Schweitzer, the action packed card will also feature SportMods, American Stocks, California Lightning Sprints and RaceSaver Sprints. Heckman holds on for IMCA win

Whitwell hasn’t been chasing people much this season, but that’s the position he was in Saturday night at Bakersfield Speedway in the IMCA Modified feature. Whitwill chased Bakersfield’s Kyle Heckman around the third-mile oval for 24 of the 25 laps, getting by Heckman just once.
