Laney wins third IMCA Mod feature at Bakersfield speedway

Laney took the lead 13 laps into Saturday Night’s IMCA Modified feature on the third-mile clay oval and went on for his second straight win and third of the season. Childress’s dominate at Speedway

BY STEPHEN LYNCH-for the Californian Saturday night at Bakersfield Speedway unofficially turned into Rick Childress Night after both Rick Childress Sr. and Rick Childress Jr. claimed impressive back-to-back feature wins. Ronald McDonald House big winner at Speedway

There were plenty of winners on Saturday night at Bakersfield Speedway, but the Bakersfield Ronald McDonald House was the biggest of the night. It was the second annual Racing for Ronald Night at the third-mile oval, and the event raised $27,807 through a pre-race lunch and carnival, dunk tank, raffle and donations.
