Gary Dutton won his fourth IMCA Sport Mods main event by at Bakersfield Speedway Saturday night. Moshier, who was in his 21st year of announcing at the track, died last Sunday after a brief battle with cancer. With a heavy heart we are saddened to report that today we lost a close member of our Bakersfield Speedway family. Longtime announcer Mike Moshier, known by all as “The Race Doctor” has lost his battle with cancer. Mike is a huge part of our Speedway family and his presence will be greatly missed by all of us. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.

On Saturday night, Bakersfield Mayor Harvey Hall made it official by proclaiming Aug. 29 as Mike Moshier Day. Moshier is battling cancer and is leaving for Arizona Sunday to receive treatment. BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Both Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods run for $1,000 to win this Saturday, Aug. 29 at Bakersfield Speedway’s Mike Moser Classic.
