Racing and Fireworks this Saturday
BAKERSFIELD, CA. – Bakersfield Speedway welcomes MOTOR CITY GMC and KUZZ FM 107.9 Saturday, June 29, as part of an action-packed night of racing for 3 of our BUDWEISER weekly racing divisions and also including the East West Street Stock division with a special focus on the H & S Body Work Hobby Stocks division for the 2nd Annual Richie McGowan Memorial Hobby Stock 32. There will be a 32-lap feature for the Hobby Stocks and a $3200 total purse payout in honor of Richie McGowan. The fans at Bakersfield Speedway will also be treated to a huge fireworks display in honor of Independence Day.
The IMCA Modifieds will be racing for $1,500 to win. #2L IMCA Modified driver Larry Hood has a one point lead over Brad Pounds in his #15b Modified. The Hobby Stock division will be racing for $600 to win. The Bakersfield Speedway provides a thrilling combination of edge-of-your-seat racing action, fun and exciting promotions, and wholesome family entertainment each and every Saturday night. With the NAPA AUTO PARTS “cool zone” and the Fireworks, Saturday, June 29 will be no exception. There is something for everyone to enjoy at the Bakersfield Speedway!
Also racing June 29 will be Melo’s Gas & Gear American Stocks and the East/West Street Stocks. With the season half way over, it’s becoming a tight point race in all our divisions.
Don’t miss the second half of the 2013 racing season getting back under way on Saturday, July 13. There will be IMCA Modifieds, Northern SportMods, Hobby Stocks and the American Stocks will take to the track that evening for a very exciting night for dirt track fans.
Gates open at 4 p.m. with racing starting at 6 p.m. for June 29.
