Racing for Wishes 2013
The storied, 1/3 mile high banked clay oval has been a Saturday night tradition in Kern County since 1946. A large field of IMCA Modifieds is expected to be scrapping for 22 starting spots in the 30 lap contest paying $1500.00 to the winner.Racing gets underway at 6 p.m. H&S Body Works Hobby Stocks, Melos Gas N Gear American Stocks, GoLiveStream Mini Dwarfs and USAC Ignite Midgets will also be on the card.
Racing for Wishes Night was started at the Speedway as a way for the racing community to help grant wishes for local Bakersfield Make-A-Wish kids as 100% of the money raised at the event stays in Kern County. Donations, Raffles, Pass the helmet and portions of ticket sale have helped boost the event into a very popular and successful night for Make-A-Wish.
